ESD FLOORING SOLUTIONS

Experiencing issues with static electricity in your facility? Electro-static dissipative (ESD) flooring can provide the solution. Heritage Polymer Flooring has years of experience as a professional ESD flooring installer, addressing the precise needs of sensitive environments.

We offer a comprehensive line of both ESD and conductive industrial concrete flooring options, designed to meet a wide range of electro-static discharge requirements. These state-of-the-art resinous floor systems are engineered to consistently demonstrate their ESD and conductive properties over time, fully in accordance with ESD Association guidelines. Our top-tier flooring and coatings provide far more than typical ESD tile or carpet.

Our static control epoxy flooring is a hygienic, seamless surface system that's easily cleaned and decontaminated. These durable finishes are highly resistant to chemicals, solvents, and stains. We also provide slip-resistance, and the flooring won't require waxing or special cleaners to maintain its essential ESD or conductive properties.

How Does Static Electricity Enter Your Facility?

Our bodies can generate up to 30,000 volts of static electricity, depending on the clothes we wear. This static shock results from an electron imbalance. While seemingly small, even this amount of electricity can be potentially dangerous when working around sensitive electronics or flammable gases.

Does "Static Resistant" Vinyl Flooring Work?

While some vinyl flooring claims to be "static resistant," it's crucial to understand that it does not remove static electricity that has already built up. Only true ESD (Electro-static Dissipative) flooring can completely drain static energy from a room. With static-resistant vinyl, there's still a risk that built-up electricity could arc and potentially ignite flammable gases or damage sensitive electronics. ESD floors, or electrostatic flooring, are specifically engineered to facilitate the safe flow of static electricity directly to a ground point.
